12 killed in Dadeldhura bus mishap
DADELDHURA, Dec 1: The death toll from Dadeldhura bus mishap has jumped to 11. Ten people were killed on the spot while one breathed his last during treatment after a bus mishap near Melkharka of Dadeldhura district on early Sunday morning.
Sixteen injured are undergoing treatment at Dadeldhura Hospital whereas other 16 have been sent to Dhangadi for further treatment.
Identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.
According to Keshab Bohara, Inspector at District Police office, Dadeldhura, the incident took place at around 4 am today.
Police said that the ill-fated bus (Na 5 Kha 789) skidded off the road some 300 meters down while it was heading to Dhangadi from Bajura district.
Some 45 passengers were travelling in the bus when the incident occurred. The cause behind the accident is yet to be known.
